Apple introduced App Thinning at WWDC2015. App thinning was expected to start with iOS9.0 but it was delayed until 9.0.2 caused by a xcode bug. what app thinning basically does is reduce code (32bit and 64bit) and icons/artwork (for different display sizes). But lets see how the actual app size of lately released app updates changed:
